Beethoven: Piano Concerto #5 in E flat. Rudolf Serkin, piano. Bruno Walter conducting the New York Philharmonic. In three movements: Allegro, Adagio un poco mosso, Rondo: Allegro ma con troppo. Recorded in 1941. Transfer and restoration from the original 78 set, Columbia Masterworks M-500.

Subject: I'm pleasantly surprised this is here
This is excellent sonic quality for coming from 78rpm. Serkin's playing is superior, as usual. If you're a fan of Beethoven's music, get this recording. If all you know about Beethoven is the symphonies, the Moonlight Sonata, and Fur Elise, then get this to expand your Beethoven "cred."
